This page explains how to delete the account created with a Google account in the Growia
Android app, developed by Atenso, and the data linked to it.
Deleting from within the app
- Open the Growia app.
- Go to Settings from the bottom menu.
- In the Account section, tap Delete my account and data.
- Confirm and, for security, choose your Google account again.
When the process is complete, your account and your cloud backup are deleted immediately.
If you no longer have access to the app
Send an email with the subject “Account deletion request” to atensostudio@gmail.com from
the email address of the Google account you signed in with. Your request will be completed
within 30 days at the latest, and you will be informed by email.
Data that is deleted
- Your Growia account (its link to your Google account, email address, name, user ID)
- Your cloud backup: your plants, nicknames and notes, care history, reminders
This data is deleted permanently and cannot be recovered. No additional retention period applies.
Data that is not deleted
- Data on your phone (plants, care history, reminders, photos) stays on the phone when the
account is deleted. You can delete it item by item in the app, or delete it completely by
uninstalling the app.
- Photos are never uploaded to a server, so there are no photos to delete on the server.
- Your Google account itself is not deleted; it is managed by Google.
